As science advances, it is more and more important to
find a link between medicine and dentistry. We move away
from mechanics, establishing a proper connection to
medicine. This lecture will be the first one of many to
foster such a relationship. The choice of topics is not
coincidental.
Periostatat, discovered by dentistry, is used to combat
periodontal disease. It is now, in its final testing as
a therapeutic modality for dermatological use, and is
being under close investigation by other medical
specialties. The aim of this lecture is informative, and
it will improve the networking between Physicians and
dentists.
