Miss Lloyd moved to the
United States of America, from Australia, as a
registered nurse in 1991 to attend Columbia University.
She has been a family nurse practitioner for fifteen
years in primary health, psychiatric care and nursing
education. After becoming a FNP, Madeleine left the
Mount Sinai Medical Center Emergency Department to work
at Phillips Family Practice, a residency-training site
for family residents at Beth Israel Medical Center. In
1995, Madeleine became a full time faculty member as a
clinical assistant professor at New York University and
coordinated the adult nurse practitioner program. She
was the clinical project director for their grant funded
nurse practitioner managed health centers. Her first
post-master certificate was at the University of
Pennsylvania in education.
She graduated with a
postmaster’s degree in psychiatric mental health from
New York University in 2004 and was at Payne Whitney
Clinic for four years. Currently, Madeleine is the
clinical director of New York University College of
Nursing Faculty Practice. She has published many
abstracts, publications and presented internationally.
